Do you ever fancy something fancy but you either can’t be bothered to spend lots of time making it, you don’t have the ingredients in or you are simply to skint to afford it that week?
Well this dish is quick and easy and absolutely stunning! Prawns are a little expensive though, especially king prawns.
Luckily I had a big bag in the freezer that needed eating.
- Bag of king prawns (fresh or frozen)
- Bottle of Mild Sweet chilli sauce
- Diced white onions x1-2
- Olive is r veg oil for frying
- Any of your fave pasta
- 1 garlic clove finely chopped.
- Half tub of double cream
Start by boiling a kettle for the pasta and get this boiling in a pan with your chosen pasta and a pinch of salt.
Dice up your onions and garlic and chuck the onions in the hot frying pan with the oil and slowly fry until softened.
in a jug of hot water add the prawns if they need defrosting or if not you can chuck them straight in the pan with the softened onions.
Fry the onions and prawns until they are fully cooked and pink. When they are cooked feel they are cooked you can go ahead and add the garlic, fry for a minute or so and then chuck in a bottle of sweet chilli sauce and simmer.
Now when the pasta is ready and soft, drain it off and rinse in boiling water if you wish to remove the starch.
Place the cooked pasta back in the empty pan, once it’s been drained.
Now add half a tub of double cream to your prawns and sleep stirring slowly until the cream has heated through on a low heat (be carful not to boil the cream)
Now add the full frying pan of sweet chilli pasta to the pasta pan and mix well!!
Serve up and enjoy this
Beautiful dish! It’s a cheat version but it’s quick, easy and so satisfying!!
