How embarrassing is it to ask that questions about how to cook an egg?
Well here’s the perfect method to save you feeling silly in asking.
Sooo do you know how to poach an egg? Or even poach more then one egg at a time and still get the perfect result?
Here’s how I cook mine…….
Boil a kettle of water and add to a pan, bring to the boil and add a cap full of vinegar, (you don’t need salt) once the water boiling, turn the heat to low a simmer to stop the bubbles.
The trick to poaching more then one egg perfectly is to add all the add all the eggs into one ramekin or something small but big enough to hold all your eggs, so they all hit the water at the same time!
Next make a fast whirl pool in the pan of water, carful but quickly pour the pot of eggs into the centre of the whirlpool and leave to poach.
A normal egg would take around 4 minutes to poach and be cooked through, so just remember they eggs will take longer to poach if there are more then one in the pan.
You can removed any foam by removing with a spoon and draining off the water and then serve up the most perfect poach eggs you’ve ever cooked!!
I like mine served on a beautiful crumpet oozing with meteor butter with a bed of spinach to comfort the eggs and a Layer of salad cream. Mmmmm
